The statistics extracted from our ordering system for the recently completed financial year reflected some interesting trends. Home Theatre system sales are on the increase - Are more people staying at home? Blu-ray and High Definition had a major impact on equipment sold and purchased - this trend is for real. Video Conferencing sales increased significantly - these clients are not effected by global events such as volcanic eruptions.

Sky TV this month launched 3D viewing in pubs and bars across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Material is currently limited to selected football games and public response has been phenomenal. According to reports, camera shots from the crowd and behind the goal area are incredible. Consumer demand and marketing hype are certain to make this technology more accessible and cost effective in the near future.

Hopefully we will soon see the same implementation from MultiChoice in South Africa.
